Hi! I am Militza

I grew up in Chaclacayo, Lima - Peru, surrounded by the colors and sounds of nature and a warm community of people.

That sense of community and joy from nature has inspired my life and sparked a curiosity that grows every day.
In the last 12+ years, I have worked with multidisciplinary teams from academia, creative agencies, NGOs, the public sector and UN agencies from Peru, the U.S.A. and the Netherlands.
My expertise lies in designing communication solutions for a positive impact on people and our planet by distilling complex information into engaging content.

My lived experiences and international background in graphic design, branding, communications, and development studies have equipped me to understand the depth and nuances of social issues.

In my work, I constantly learn and advocate for storytelling, intersectionality, inclusive language, and a human-centered approach. In my research, I explore the meaning of popular music in Peru through the voices of young people 🎵.
I am particularly passionate about social justice, sustainable development, gender equality, education, childhood and youth, popular culture and decoloniality, and I aspire to inspire that a better world is possible.

As a Peruvian with Andean roots, a Latina, and a woman of color, I love connecting with individuals and organizations who believe social change is needed.
